    Another importing question

Thought I might 'future proof' myself by buying an alloy magazine well for the CZ457 (the plastic ones do crap out eventually).
    It's not a magazine. It's just a holder/guide thing.
Would that need a permit to import do you reckon?

Send Kapiti an email to clarify. They respond fairly quickly.
And if it turns out that you don't need a permit (mmm unlikely) you have the document to confront Customs if it all goes pear shaped.

Are you going to go with an aluminum trigger guard too? They look quite good.

No, just the mag well (my CZ457 wears an Oryx chassis, so trigger guard built in already).

Definitely a smart idea to replace the plastic mag well. They break like carrots as they age. It will not be a problem to get an import permit which is required for a 'part', both for importation to NZ and also for export from many countries.

Yes, I'm in no need for the part yet and will wait until the change of Govt in a few weeks time so that I may be able to import without needing to register, etc.
Will get the mag well, and the alloy 'block' that fits inside too.

You’d be lucky if the register get scraped before xmas. Or at least the obligation to register.
