    Not a hang fire story but true, nonetheless. A few years ago in Texas, a guy down on his luck took his old family .45 single action Colt and robbed a store of about $300, only to be promptly arrested. His family .45 was a very early example in good condition and worth several thousand dollars on the collector market!
