I also get sick of the "average" new Zealander on the news at night, Indian, Chinese, south african, from any where except good old NZ.
Just saying, do they look for them? Note it next time

Man loses 3 fingers in bandsaw accident at Freezing Works: does not make the news ever, happens regularly.

Man loses 3 fingers in shooting accident in paddock: does make the news once, unsure of regularity of accident type.

Welcome back Maca wouldn't reply to your posts normally but umm eerrrr that's Errr racist mate because umm that's an average nz person. We all live under one sun with our problems differences etc. Be a strange old world otherwise. Some may find your comment a little offensive. Just saying

Sorry guys I'll re phrase, not racist at all.I say media manipulation, you get what they want and sadly there is a lot of control. I certainly am not racist and don't want that brush. Now I can go to sleep

I know what you mean - sorta. Its easy to say accidentally say something without meaning too - but for the record anyone can be racist. Saying you have a multicultural family doesn't mean you cant be racist haha. My indian neighbors are hilariously racist, so are the chinese family on the other side!

The best working definition i ever heard was believing your type is better than anothers. That means that unless you're an egalitarian ("all men are equal") then you're by default a stark raving racist lol. In short mate - we're all racists, its just that most don't know it.

I reckon kiwi's stay out of the headlines because they have had longer to become aware of the risks associated with NZ. Being a tourist destination - the newbies off the planes will always make up the majority of the accidents. I'm sure the locals in Bali cant figure out why all the hospitals there are full of Kiwi's and Aussies haha.
