I registered a Navy and Arms shotgun the other week. Of course Army and Navy were retailers, never made a firearm in there life and there a many manufacturers that never sold under their own name.
I have a Martini 45/70 that has a very, very, very small “M” with a flag either side. They manufactured the firearm, but their initial could be taken off and the final finishing could be by someone else, who then put their name on it, the serial number would have remained the same.
Boom, cough,cough,cough
Seems there is a workable blueprint by way of Western Auz now.......... The anti gun crowd have had quite the win there of late.
It is the failure of the state being unable recognise that the punishment of the innocent does not reflect in the behaviour of the guilty.
It is also, perhaps, a failure of the state in that it does not care how the agendas are realised, only that they are.
Maybe do an OIA request.
I know of a number of strawbuyers that have been arrested and charged, caught via the registry.
Just because you haven’t heard about it doesn’t mean it’s not happening, or prolific.
Funnily enough I’ve never been involved in a case where they’ve been imported in shipping containers.
I’m not pro or the registry reall as I don’t know enough of the details, but it certainly does have some positives which I’m not determined to remain ignorant to.
Wouldn’t mind hearing about these cases if you’re able to point me in the right direction! Cheers, Jim.

On the "Just because you haven’t heard about it doesn’t mean it’s not happening, or prolific." if Customs IS finding firearms but if they are only checking 7% of containers...
The thing is that straw byers were being caught before the registry anyway. Dealers are required to keep records however, being reported stolen and/or having it's numbers removed can break any solid connection to it's origional purchaser.
‘Facts don’t care about your feelings’
Im not opposed to registration.
I am opposed to the Police administering it. Having had my details released in data leaks not once but twice by the blue gang I am no longer able to trust them in any matters what so ever.
too old to die young
So you're saying "yes we are shit but so is everyone else"
If this is your idea of a logical argument maybe you should stick with play-doh
Police have failed with databases (C-cat and E cat riddled with errors) cost overruns (INCIS) and even had several officers disciplined for accessing information illegally (numerous but the latest was all the coppers checking the file of the officer killed by some Nelson scum on NYE)
Police are not trusted with administering the register because they keep fucking it up
