Thread: Cannon Type Firearm?

There is lots of Legal Canon type firearms being operated in NZ firing all sorts of projectiles from 50 cal lead balls to soft drink cans filled with concrete .

It's been discussed here regularly and there are Videos posted on the subject .... some were posted by myself.

Coincidently 40mm is about the right size for a Golf Ball Canon.

Same safety rules apply for these Firearms as apply to any other firearm.

Maybe he was pissing around with it on the back of his ute and for some reason loaded it and ignited the charge.

If he'd been using it at the range and then was allowed to remove his firearm without the unload and show clear type procedures then I'd be very concerned indeed.

However having owned such firearms for a number of years One thing I do Know even when loaded they don't go bang for no reason.

One generally has to introduce an ignition source of one type or another.

Will have to wait for the coroners report.

Feel for the family too.
