Typical sensationalist drivel from the Herald full of exaggerations, inaccuracies, lies, and overall imbalance. Imagine if those opining on firearms actually understood the first thing about them.

Not giving that peopaganda outlet any views or clicks.

The majority of people no longer believe their lies anyway, and that is good.

The sooner those places shut down because they are broke the better.

Apart from one statement about research it seems to be balanced to me. It gives Nicole air time and shares perspectives from both sides. From the statements Nicole makes it would be easy enough to deduce that MSR's could come back in some way; the journo opens with "Semi-automatics could make a return to gun ranges with New Zealand’s firearms laws in for a major shake-up this term". Thats a reasonable assumption.
It closes from a pro perspective.

    Nope

I dont think we will hear anything (apart from the propaganda) till the review (the outcome of that review will be very clear if it is done with honest intentions).

It will then be hard to justify the outrageous costs for the non existent benefit.

We will see... patience, not much longer.

Did you? Sure; @Fatberg had a visceral reaction to the article, but having read it myself - I'm fairly certain that there was a bias in the reporting. Of course, your mileage may vary....but come on - if you cannot see the leaning of the reporter then you're part of the problem.

Any “leaning” is likely reflecting the majority public opinion.

I doubt semis for recreational hunting will be back. But you do make a good case. If they do come back it's not like there's gonna be a second hand market for a while! All the old gats are gone...
