Yes pessimists and optimists and cynics and naives all have something in common, a certain preference for a picture that they happen to be comfortable with.

In the end it comes down to that in the end there is one objective single reality which we all try to understand in our individual, sometimes odd ways each from our particular angles, but no one has perfect or complete insight on their own.

In my humble opinion, we live this life just once, so we may as well be happy while we are doing it. In truth I probably lean more towards the optimistic side of the spectrum with a cynical sense of humour.
