    Frankly it's best to remove bolt, or lock a lever action, and cable lock it to vehicle (load anchors work well), bury it under everything else, take any bolts with you and stay stum. Lock any ammo in a stout steel box and also cable lock it to vehicle. What other people don't know about they can't steal or access. Declare it and tell the world- oh, and invite a whole lot of rigamarole. Discretion is the best part of valor methinks.
