Sorry to sound cynical with everyone going off like Guy Fawkes but something doesn’t gel with the story.

Well not everyone is the type of person to make a fuss. Next time you are in Canterbury let me know and I will introduce you to my friend.

My guess is that all of us have had a terrifying near-on car crash that we only just avoided but didn't rush off and report, as an analogy
