    How's this for a deterrent ?

Between the "cunstabulary" and our courts/judges I'm not sure which one would win the prize for muppet of the year.
This person & their actions get a slap on the wrist & home D ???

Hard to blame cops for a judge’s decision.

And the poor chap will now get the support and counseling he desperately needs and deserves…

Yep, agree cops did their job on this one - but see other the thread on bad cop behaviour & cover up.
Cops must be gutted when they see courts hand out decisions like this.

i know for a fact that good cops are as upset as any one of us by bad cops and their actions. They have serious skin in the game, and bad cops' actions make the job more difficult for the good ones.

Very true, its like anything and everyone, there are bad teachers, doctors, pick any profession or Government department. But getting back to the main point, the Judicial system in this country is a complete joke and a slap in the face for victims of crime.

Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

Maybe Simpson's mother/father is a judge.....it will be interesting to see the outcome of the Wanaka couple's case. I wonder if any strings will be pulled to achieve a meaning ful outcome?

Obviously wasn't a licensed firearms owner or the jail sentence would have probably been upheld .
Not very confidence inspiring when our justice system considers pre-planned shooting at vehicles with a shotty on a motorway only worthy of home d .
No wonder these crims are all shaking in their boots ....

So what the fuck does a person shooting an illegal firearm at innocent members of the public actually have to do for a judge to send them to prison? Fuck me dead, why do we bother?

It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

They just have to become a Firearm Arm Licenced person! Because then, they would be deemed fit and proper and should have known better! So here comes the book, the crims just an arsehole and knew no better. I’m studying to be a judge in my retirement, there’s two spots, you in? Hahahaha, Fuck we’d have some fun Rushy hahaha

This story almost made me puke. These scum should have been jailed for many years. FFS, this is attempted murder of a family. These kids will be psychologically damaged for life and these pieces of snot get no more punishment than a hungry shoplifter. The judge should lose his job immediately as surely the justice system could have no confidence in his ability to uphold the law. Much sympathy to the family.

Gotta agree, I am surprised the driver of the family car didnt loose control and crash. We need some Singapore justice here, Home D plus 2 x 5 strokes of the lash a month apart.
