Was this not the nighttime shooting around Ruatahuna last December?
Surely it can't be too hard to work out "which incident"?

Pretty sure this was in the lower reaches of the Horomunga river, Galatea. My understanding is the shooter was using a thermal and shot at the heat signature in the scope. Sadly it wasn't a deer. A mate of mine new the victim. :TT TT:
