I was just talking to my daughter about this very thing this morning.

Interesting….”let’s ban anything that goes/can go bang” seemed to be the theme.

,I would be amazed if one could actually make a workable firearm from a soft air pistol as claimed what about a metal barrel and action for a start -the other thing that really stands out for me in all of this argument all the photo's of what gets seized is what I would describe as junk firearms -old shotguns 22.s - no modern pistols or sub machine guns etc - so pretty dubious of all the claims on this stuff coming in - seems a bit of a con

If they can get meth in by the ton then surely they can get a few bang sticks past easy enough.....How many shipping containers pass through our ports? And how many are they able to check / examine ? And passing new laws banning stuf....the only people who will take notice and obey them are the ones who already obey the law and are not the problem....

Yup. We are low hanging fruit. The easy ones. We comply and it looks good. But we arent the problem. Crims don't comply.
If anyone thinks that they won't start to get some really nasty pistols, smgs and the likes thrown in for shits and gigs in a drug shipment they are truly ignorant.
Won't matter if they are worn out pieces of crap but a few thousand worth of asties like that in a 20 million shipment is just a drop in the ocean.
