Happy Jack.
sadly no sound
I thought it was quite ironic that the very next video to appear in my YouTube feed after watching this was one from Russell Coight.
Overkill is still dead.
Mike had a tendency to stray and never really properly answered quite a few questions. He has a reputation for that. What I did like though was his encouraging the participation of young people in firearms sports and the mention of NCEA qualification credits. He seemed genuine and I sincerely hope those comments were not just platitudes. When asked if he had anything else to add at the end of the interview I thought it would have been useful for him to mention that FAL holders needed to make a no arms declaration if they do not have any firearms. As far as the rhetoric around the “if the law changes then we will adapt” comment is concerned, I realise he was representing the FSA and they are likely to come under Justice but Mike is embedded Police and I neither trust him nor his PNHQ overlords to provide impartial administration..
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms
McIllwraith is not a person whose word I would ever trust. The smile on the face of the tiger......
Just watched this video, can't see anything wrong with contents. I'm not registered, will do so if I have a trigger event or otherwise have to. Having interacted with FSA a few times getting questions answered or guidance where to find relevant legislation info I can only say they have been prompt and courteous in providing answers. Mc Illwraith I have only met once and he seemed ok to me. Sure he's Police so maybe about as trustworthy as most politicians, but hey I've been disappointed by supposed friends before.
I don't agree with what's gone down since Ch-Ch and the gun registry but some of the tinfoil hat brigade on here need to take their hats off and get omore.out and about more.
Back in 2016 or thereabouts I met Mike McIlwraith at a meeting. His words to us back then were I have been given the Firearms Portfolio and been told to fix it. Had Chch not happened it would have been very interesting to see how that played out.
The man who destroyed the Mountain Safety Council Firearms Volunteer Instructors system.
He lied then and he lies now.
In watching this I see a lot of effort being put into micromanaging FAL holders. Since they're so worried about public safety, have they considered fighting crime?
I was disappointed……..I thought they were going to discuss the Alpha carbines?
