FWIW He mentioned in his manifesto that he considered other methods of attack but chose firearms for maximum political impact.
Don't forget the Nice, France attack (to which his was a response) had over 200 victims and that was with a truck.
It has to be up there with 9/11 as one of the most successful terrorist attacks of all time. He achieved every one of his goals and more, plus inspired numerous copycat attacks.
