    Missing Rifle !!

We have a situation of a rifle gone missing that has a Pulsar XD50 Thermal Scope attached.
Remington Model 660 in 7m-08 with SUP

My friend died suddenly at his home in Neils Beach - Jacksons Bay - Westland .
All rifles where located by local Haast constable - Sean Millington on Sunday "except" the 7m-08 and Thermal scope.

Bob died in the company of 2 people who had stayed the night
They alerted authorities etc 9am Sunday when Bob was found.

With permission and suggestion from Constable Millington and my friend Doug who is overseeing the property and Bobs assets etc on behalf of Bobs family in Australia who as you know cannot be involved physically.

So just encase the rifle and/or scope are put up for sale here are the details
Ignore scopes in the following photos

    Remington 660 7m-08 serial # 128181

Sarvo do not rule it out completely, my mates Dad died suddenly & it was only later they found his prized BSA Hunter Lightweight was discovered missing. This was his prized possession brought with blood, sweat & tears from his time as a Deer Culler & the family had never known him to lend it in all his years. Turns out he had lent it to an old freind who the famiy had never met & he only came forward with the information after the funeral.

    Good luck

Are you saying someone definitely stole it if he would never lend it?? And when are you thinking it was stolen?? And are you insinuating it was taken on the night he died by one of his mates????

.... just trying to figure if you are trying to say anything between the lines.

I am definitely not saying it’s been stolen because I do not know. Hence the heading “missing”
Would he have lent it to someone – I am 99% certain no. But again, should not be ruled out I suppose.
It has a combined value of at least 5K

The recoil pad especially was quite distinctive.
Nice rifle actually and Bob was very fussy about the feel of a rifle – I gave him a BSA Featherweight too but he point blank disliked it.
I ended up with it back

Since there is only a 1% chance it was lent, there is a 99% chance it was taken by one of the 2 guys who were with him.
Sorry for your mate going Sarvo.
