    Not enough !

Good to see these scum got convicted but the sentences handed down are NOT a deterrent, 4 years - they'll probably be out in 2.
Burglary and theft (+illegal sale) of firearms should carry MUCH greater penalty .... 10 yrs min.
If Cahill and Gillespie want to change rules to improve safety for cops and joe citizen, this is where they should be directing their energy.

I wonder if it would serve as a deterent if they shot them all, with the firearms they stole.

    And that is the problem.
I'm drawn to the mountains and the bush, it's where life is clear, where the world makes the most sense.

Society is fucked, criminals get paid and a free ride while victims pay and suffer

Now you see, I would play paper, scissors rock for the chance to pull the trigger. In fact I would bid up to a buck fifty three in a tender as well.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

    Ask the Christchurch pistol club?

I've also noticed not a single person from the club has said anything about the situation ever.

Nope. According to some it must absolutely be the right sentence because the judge wouldn't make a mistake and it is his or her decision and not yours and a bunch of other snivelling bullshit. But for the record and at the risk of yet again being accused of mob mentality. I agree with you.

His idiotic actions created this "Omni-Fuck" of a situation in the first place.

    Prostitute at home -Check
    Display firearms to Prostitute -Check
    Club members details stored unsecured-Check
    Unsecured Restricted Weapons -Check

He is the real culprit here, its all well and good banging on about the Criminals, the "victim" should be receiving the longest sentence.
