    Not a 'Fit and Proper Person'

    Reading back through some older threads, I came across one started by 'pepper 123' on 21-5-2017 titled 'Brass damage ?? Help'
    Forum readers gave the normal balanced and helpful advice feedback as usual.
    Pepper 123, without any provocation lost his temper and launched an aggressive swearing tirade against forum members.
    I am not a phycologist, but life experience tells me that pepper's reaction was not in the 'normal area of the 'Bell curve' Have a read, in short the guy can only be described as a Nutter with an uncontrollable temper. Pepper is not someone who should be allowed to own firearms.
    Has this type of situation been faced before and how do we deal with it ?

    It was almost a year ago. Why are you bringing this up now?

    Why would someone not be 'fit and proper' just because they swear?

    You're not a moderator. Why don't you leave it to them? (Which they did when they closed the thread)

    Half the blokes on this forum think it's acceptable that you might end up shooting someone in the Bush one day so no surprises there

    Here Ryan, you are mischievously misinterpreting what people have said. We are not talking about the .270, but peoples lives. I very much doubt anyone thinks that "it is acceptable to shoot someone in the bush". It is acceptable though to have differing opinions on the reasons why this occurs and and what is going on for the individual when it does occur.

    And the other half think they're incapable of making mistakes and never bother checking twice before pulling the trigger?

    I dont see where anyone suggested what you're saying? Maybe I missed that bit. So which half do you belong too? (According to you)
    Now I gotta ask myself whether someone who suggests that shooting someone in the bush is just a case of being a "mistake" is a fit and proper person.... hmmmmm

    @Ryan_Songhurst

    Forget about the bloody guns, get out of the bush and onto the road. Now, are you NEVER going to cause a motor vehicle accident??? I don't think any of us would be that confident. Although they deliver much lower impact energy, guns can be as lethal as cars.

    Not comparable - shit load more variables when driving.... pointing a rifle at something you have not identified and consciously pulling the trigger is very different to a vehicle accident...

    turn your last 7 words around.....cars can be as lethal as guns and it makes more sense...... if you get behind the wheel pissed its a conscious decision......if you decide to speed its a conscious decision..... if you tail gate..if you use phone....overtaking on blind corner...
    not the same...yes AND no
    the above are using something in a way thats KNOWN to be dangerous and can kill, the last one is getting close as you doing something you think is right without proper vision to CONFIRM IT .
