    LoL, 1.45 gun deaths per 100 000 according to Wiki (don't know how out of date these stats are, don't have time to go deeper right now) does not suggest a "firearms problem". "One swallow does not not a summer make".

    I wonder how that rate compares to "death by doctors cockups" or "death by traffic accident" or "workplace deaths", I reckon it would be less for all "combined firearms related deaths" than the others.
