Dealt with appropriatly by the looks. Well done to the boys in blue. I wonder if the haters will start up on the police over this one too.
Yeah they should probably have tried to sit down to a happy meal with him.
If they shot an armed bloke in a public place they most likely saved one or more innocent lives, but like you implied, some idiots won't see it that way.
Someone earned his police wage today and good on you.

FFS, more fuel for the anti gun brigade.
quite a few on this forum , are not exactly pro-police , ... will proberly say they should have just opened a gate and he would have gone in of his own accord ....tongue in cheek
Great job done in my opinion, police got it right! Present a firearm and give away your right to life, is pretty black and white in my book. Always feel a bit of sadness for the guy that had to do the job, :(
The cops went to work, did what they were trained for and went home in one piece.
Condolences to family and friends of the deceased. Fortunately toll was only one and no innocent bystanders
But the media is going to say 'why did he have access to a firearm ?'
We need tighter gun laws, etc..
That will wipe the smile off his Happy meal, if yah don't want to get shot don't wave guns at Police.
Yes your right
Yes, it will be interesting to see if, indeed he held a FAL.... Bloody silly thing to do.. I believe the Police acted appropriately. As I told my daughter on the way home from school, we should be thankful that at least our boys in blue ask first, then shoot, not like they do in the U.S., where its shot first then ask..
He got what he asked for. Fries with that hot lead meal?
My thoughts go out to the family of the deceased, and especially to the frontline police officer now facing months if not years of investigation and review.
