Thread: Outdated question on the Police firearms test

Just wanted to get a general feeling form you guys on this. I know it seems silly but i feel this form that we all fill out must be absolutely flawless and clear.

I'm specifically confused on the ambiguously worded question 8 of the firearms application test. It needs to be clarified as it does not seem to make grammatical / literal sense.

8. Before a firearm is stored away, which of the following should be done?

A- check there are no rounds in the chamber and magazine.

B- remove bolt and magazine (where possible) and store these separately.

C- secure the firearms against children and theft.

D- all of the above

Main question here. What is option C??? Is it duplicating answers A + B and then implying it is something different? If this is referring to the now redundant trigger locks? I suggest think they scratch D and just make C say "both of the above" as there is no such thing as specifically securing the firearm against 'children or theft' apart from options A and B.

Technically its saying lock the firearm in your safe before storing it....

Thoughts?
