Thread: Overburdened licensing department

Interesting article today in the uk shooting news.
Think this would also apply to NZ as it is based on the uk system and leaning more towards it with the registration.
Here’s the opening line quote.

Yeap, the one bit no one mentions is how there is no official department responsible for ensuring that the license issuers are doing their job and doing their job efficiently. This creates the situation where the license issuing authority begins trumpeting their successes and very much downplaying their failures while suggesting that lack of finance is the reason they cannot operate efficiently. This is not just a firearms thing either.

So now they want to ban shotguns?

Biit of a deviation but just read bannerheadline on stuff website 500%fee increase for firearms.interestingly a couple of firearms owners interviewd ,the lady is very interesting .the comments section yep alas NZ still has a strong vein of ignoramus corksoakers. seems the underlying consensus is to proceed with this does risk another nail in the socialist casket, not that cuddles coster and his band of shiney assed biro pushers will let that trouble them.
