A good result for farmer and cops. Hopefully the judge does something beyond a wet bus ticket when it goes to court.

Haha would not be surprise if it’s someone on this forum! Dumb way to lose your FAL etc etc.
All three of them ha bloody ha. Good job.
So who got to keep the animal?
Really?? Is a scungy old stag worth all the grief. Good result in the end though
Good.
Blimey you could go to a deer farm and buy yearling for a few hundy=tank of gas
Awesome result could be some cheap rifles coming up for sale.
Great stuff, I hope they get right royally Rodgered. Should have seized the ute too in my opinion.
wrong, the wild animals are owned by the crown. The land owner can give permission to shoot it and then who ever lawfully shoots it owns it.
However being in Taupo and poaching is stupid and lazy. Living so close to public land means they have more opportunties than most.
Fucking pricks. Peel their fucking skin off with a rusty potato peeler.
Just got back from a long weekend trip near where this happened. When we arrived the Farmer whose farm we access through had just finished with the police - he had been woken at 4am to a shot being fired, went out and found that 3 guys had just shot one of his cattle beasts. He was pretty edgy and I understand why.
Dirty bastards, I hope they got caught
