    I too went through this when I first moved to Auckland and was staying in houses temporarily (guns stored securely in BOP)

    "You need to have a safe as you could go out and buy a gun" they told me or basically that I couldn't have a licence anymore.

    "I have a driving licence and could go out and buy a bottle of whiskey. Do you want to take my driving licence too, as I could drive drunk"

    If you are deemed fit and proper, you should be trusted to not break the law
