I thought land tenure would be the big hurdle and was the reason for closure. There was an earlier range on that site. I found the mounds one day between the main range and the road, There was another one North of Taradale shooting into the back of Sugar Loaf long disused even 60 years ago. Ive seen photos of an old shooting range setup on the far side of TeMata peak too. Wish that still existed!
