Thread: Rifle storage in your car?

For the avoidance of doubt, and complications, I use a metal tool box to padlock ammo and bolt in. BA rifles, bolt removed and out of sight. LA rifles and pump action shorties I use a lock cable thru the action. Single
shot rifles and break action shotguns are either in a locked hardcase or have a trigger lock fitted. When on extended trips I run a heavy cable with end loops through my rear load tie downs and padlock the loops together. Then I can use rifle cable locks to individually lock my ammo box and long guns and locked Pistol cases to the heavy cable for my own peace of mind. Just to stop the smash and grabbers but ineffective against anyone with serious intent, time and kit.
