    We use scanners at work to find rebar and they can also detect pvc pipe and AC wiring. Not sure if they will pick up underfloor heating cable, theyre not perfect and its an art more than a science. Would a cantilever bracket on top be permissable?

    It's possible. However, common sense should come into it and the vetting officer makes that call.
