Oh man....that's a shop I could enjoy.
And yet we slam H&F for diversifying. The H&F franchisee's are small business owners too. So long as they provide service and value they deserve a break.
And there are small sole trader shops that wouldn't hesitate to do you over either, just like bigger ones.
I go where the service is best and the price is right.
Well it sure as shit aint NZ!
All those doughnuts there to lure in Policemen...to then buy more firearms. Must be 'Murica:D
We all need one of those stores in our town
I would like to see a shop that has a decent seating area, good coffee and a decent display area. Next door to a decent clothes or shoe shop (lady creche) wouldn't hurt either. Most of the hunting shops are in the middle of nowhere and if your 'better half' is in tow you get harassed to piss off to the handbag shop or some other boring BS.
Davos in washdyke does coffee and bakery nextdoor. Hunting n fishing in Timaru has three eateries next door.
Yeh, sounds about right. Our first house in '85 was 87K and the first mortgage payment was at 23%! The rates dropped slowly afterwards thank god.
As for gunshops, I agree they deserve to survive if they are service oriented and don't price gouge. Can't say either applies to the local H&F. I support R-to-R at every opportunity.
I believe swaro is a bit of an exclusive domain of h&f and a handful of exclusive shops in nz hence why you can’t buy them at gun city for exemple.
That might be why your small retailer did not want to touch it?
