Terrible news out of Aussie today!

Absolutely terrible news out of Aussie - 6 shot including two cops and civilians. Very close to where I have family over there. Seems the violence and crime thing is happening everywhere, not good.

Plus the initial missing person. Three of the 6 were the crims.

A dark day indeed. I really feel for the families of the deceased police and innocent neighbour.

Watching with interest what the details are, because criminals usually don't kill cops for the fun of it.

no one goes to work expecting not to return home, what an absolute tragedy. R.I.P to the victims, to the perpetrators I hope there is a special place in hell waiting for you

that is a terrible thing for all the families involved.. .agree, you go to work and expect to come home at days end,not be in a body bag. the sooner the scumbags involved in organised crime are deceased the better.

Sorry to hear it but just like here, while Johnny Howard reckoned the beat thing he ever did for a sainthood was their big gun grab and legislation change after port Arthur, their gun crime and shooting especially in Western Sydney is rife

clearly their gun buyback has been about as effective as ours. very sad day indeed.

I feel sorry for the families of those Police officers. That would be really hard to deal with.

I still think that all Police should be armed all the time. (with the proper experience and training)

It would be better if criminals were scared all the time, to the extent that police only need to carry a hard word...

Well, to be fair shooting and killing two people, wounding another and then lighting bush on fire to try and flush out the fourth doesn't seem like something that a rational minded group of people would do. Doesn't matter what the situation is.

The fact that two officers have lost their lives here I think is the major point.

There's some nut cases out there.

A neighbor going to see where the fire started, turned his back after seeing armed men and started to walk away.He got shot in the back, cold blooded murder.Befor hand, two of the 4 cops took cover on the ground from gun fire, the gunman just walked up and shot them several times as they lay on the ground.Execution style their commandor said. The other 2 cops got away to get help.
Such a sad day. RIP young officers.

It's a shocker alright, but more to come yet. I heard the news announcer say the two downed officers had their firearms (hand guns ?) taken from them after they were executed, so that begs the question - had they already been disabled ........... ?
I also can't understand why the killers hung around, were they too stupid to understand what was coming - or were they making a 'grand-stand' ?

Very hard for the parents who lost their kids ........ an utterly gutless act.

Tragic in the extreme for the families of the slain officers and the innocent neighbour. As to the scummy pricks that did this, their lives were worthless from the get go.
