    Times up

I will be letting my FAL run out this time round due to health problems , sold / gave away most of my
firearms before the mosque debacle sold my last shotgun about 4/5 years ago . Just wanting to know
if there is a procedure that I have to go through , or do I just let it expire .

surrender it I think just one basic form to fill out that way should you improve health wise just the same as a renewal have done it twice in last 30 years due to circumstances at time . just renewing now and will slowly cash up over next 10yrs due to age/health .

    What he said ^^^^^^^^^^
Best to "Voluntarily Surrender" it. Do not simply let it expire, at which juncture the licence will be Cancelled.
Makes for extreme difficulty should your personal circumstance change, at some time in the future, and you wished to renew it.
My employment meant that more often than not I resided outside the country; I voluntarily surrendered my licence.
After something like 20 years, I came "home", reapplied, and my "new" licence had the same number as that which I had surrendered.
    Easy, peasy.
