Thread: Todays Email firearms law change exempions

Someone please explane, your latest email look at the exemptions you can apply for. Hairlooms, dealers, collectors, museum curators ????. THEATRICAL MEMBERS/BROADCASTERS, pest control. Why the fuck can theatrical members/broadcasters get a possible exemption. Must be for that Du Plessie shiela. Any ideas ?

Well it's a bit hard to film a war movie etc with Nerf guns.

so that Sir Peter Jackson can make movie of say ...fall of Saigon with real firearms as props...they dont have to be functional just look right..far easier to do it if starting with real deal.

So I get it, Sir Jackson gets a exemption, makes a film with 1000 mates most who he has never met and they are allowed to run around with the real deal when weta workshops could 3d print a fake. Thats fair

oh well I guess if you arent happy with it, Sir Peter better bugger off to U.S.A. to make his next movie, and take all that lovely $$$$ with him perhaps.....

And lets face it we all enjoy a shoot,em up , kinda loose the moment when a rifle or sword gives a little wiggle .

There has always been a separate class for theatrical props for as long as I can recall

I was more interested in someone wanting to challenge this line. "people involved in wild animal and animal pest control." Surely all hunters are involved in wild animal control.
Also the bit about a $300 payment available for modifying tube magazines etc is worth looking into.

When swords give a little wiggle it is a different movie and one I suspect Sir Peter would not be involved in.....Though a blue flick directed by someone called Sir Peter could be an interesting flick ....
