Your FAL# or Drivers Licence# are not secure info at all. They are physical items that I'm assuming are in your wallet. So now someone who has nicked your wallet has those details and can ring up the FSA and say they are you...
2FA is one of the best and easiest ways to secure stuff. Yes it can be spoofed this day and age but that's beyond the realm of randos who have got your username/account.

What a crock of crap Coop, my wallet has not been stolen and even if it had been and the offender then rang the FSA making out that they are me what are they likely to learn given that I have not registered my firearms. It is the combination of the knowledge of those two license numbers plus my passport number (now the offender has to break into my house and successfully get into the correct safe out of seven in the house) and my military service number (now the offender has to hack into Defence Force records or read my mind) that affords the ability to prove who I am that I suggested in my post above.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms
