You could pierce a nipple or get a Prince Albert and hang em there, good for the odd chastity belt?:ORLY:
:D:D:D:D
You guys had me LOL big time:thumbsup:
@Macca Pretty sure you will find those tins wont hold enough pressure to turn powder into a bomb.
I'd light one and let you know, but it's to expensive, maybe solder just let's go? Remember the old lead tooth paste tube dropped in a fire with the cap on? That was good and only lead?
Give them to me.
Get an empty one and drill a hole in the lid and screw a mag wheel tire valve into it and pump it up,would be interested to see what pressure you get but bet it wont be anywhere near 100psi, be surprised if it got to 20.
Of course you want a locking fitting so your not holding it when it pops, to lessen effect fill with water first(less expansion on fail point)
Yep but speed of expansion would add to that?
only if you can hold the pressure
I've got a can I'll give it a bash, if I disappear from the forum, you'll know your wrong!
for safetys sake fill it with water and use a fitting that doesn't need holding on so you can charge from a distance.
blowing stuff up with air was how i filled in the day when i worked at a tire shop before doing my Appy.
Any tire tube will not take more than 2psi and a plastic coke bottle will take 140 and not pop even if you grind the sides a bit!
I'll get one of my employees to hold it! the one I carry life insurance on! Think I'll explode it with BP and a fuse. Next BP shoot.
Hiding two identical keys in separate locations in your house increases the chances of someone finding one of them and gaining access to you safe. I would put it offsite, or in a place that takes a while to access, e.g. buried.
I love how this has turned into an experiment with explosives haha! Keen to see how you get on Maca hahaha
Yep thought about that, soldered tin. I might weld this one first!:ORLY:
Am I the only one here who thinks this thread is a BAD idea? This is the internet, a public forum.
You are basically creating a check list of most likely spots to look.
If any burglar ever checks all the ridiculous places listed in this thread for a key, they probably won't have time to actually steal anything :D!
Not to mention most "safes" can probably just be kicked in or pried open.
Marty your foot would get sore trying to kick my safe open.
Most probably can't read or use a computer
:D
A number of years ago I bought a fireproof filing cabinet off Trademe. The idea was for it to go under the house. I took the fronts off the drawers and made a 3mm steel hinged door hot dip galved (which came out buckled and had to be pressed back flat) The drawers were made to all slide out as one. To make it fit under the house, I had to dig a 600mm deep hole and put in a 100mm thick concrete base. This thing must have weighed 200kg if not a ton and managed to shin myself getting it in there. To test it before putting my treasured rifles in it I put some steel pieces in there and left it for a while, bit more than a year. Although I can open the door, I can't get the fucking drawer to slide out. Scratch that idea
I bought one of those small fireproof safes for passports, birth certificates, photo negatives, memory sticks (with complete photos of everything in the house), the Mrs jewellery, spare car keys and house keys .... and I put them in there. That safe is well hidden in another part of the house. It's also where I keep my bolts. As well as being a cleaning nazi ... I'm a safety nazi too ... hmmm ... I have issues!
Best place to keep 'em is in one of these : -
Power Point Wall Safe
I used one in the UK but no one had ever heard of 'em over here... but obviously I gave someone at Miter 10 the idea and now they stock them.
Or just keep them in an empty DvD box stored with your other DvD's, If anyone thieves all your DvD's then they end up with a set of keys that they have no idea what they are for.
The "disguised" outlet socket is the best option.
There are loads of small safes available if you look for them disguised as : - baked bean cans, soft drink cans, small oil cans, cleaning material containers, books etc... or better still make your own Bean Can Safe and stick it in the food cupboard... Very few thieves bother to rob Baked Beans... unless you live on some shitty council estate in the UK.

That is clever
I used to live with Manchester 10 miles to the east and Liverpool 10 miles to the west... so you learn quickly where to put things so as the roaming gangs of feral, thieving, hooded scrotes will tend to miss 'em.

I actually saw those the other day when I was at Mitre 10, they're a great idea.
