    Bloody steel shot

Cooked a lovely roast duck tonight - then CRUNCH. Busted tooth. Shit I hate steel shot. At least lead had some "give" in it. Gonna be a long night, as it's sore as hell. Still - could be worse. Think of the duck!!

Yeah - I think I will get one. I thought they seemed a bit wanky, but pain seems to focus the thinking.

Just shoot them in head/neck with tight choke. You know the patterns right and yor eye is in when the head gets cut off. No worries about wounding either as even steel is.up.to this job

Breaking a tooth like that is a bastard when it happens. Stuffs up a good meal and then you can't leave the bloody thing alone.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

Managed to see the dentist today. Tooth too badly split to save, so out she came. Wallet lighter by the cost of a slab of ammo, which is a lot cheaper than it could have been. The 20 gauge u/o is still on the cards, so maybe next year. If F&G ban lead in sub gauges, I will still have an awesome pheasant gun.
