    Can anyone help?

I'm pretty new to shotgunning well apart from the odd possum or bunny years and years ago problem is i have my old mans 12g it's a maverick or Mossberg 88 pump and have no idea what the choke is that's in it. It hasn't been out for like 10 years or more and its pretty much in there for good any hints to removing it? also would any of you kind gents have some old chokes lying around to fit it that you no longer need? im in the process of joining a sports shooters club and have my first ever clay bird shoot in a couple of weeks so any help you guys can offer is much appreciated

I used a metal ruler with the round edge to loosen the ones in the 12G, Now I just use my finger to take it out. The Yildiz came with a tool which is good I dont think my finger would fit down the barrel.

Dont get hung up on choke size, the choke isnt going to be the difference between hit or miss. Your technique and skill set will be. Practise practise practise. Cant help you with the other bits.

yeah i know im going to need to practice im expecting to suck big time but im cool with that the only reason i want to get the choke out is to see what's in it and the fact i will be going from lead to steel back to lead ect took it out once during the last duck season got one and missed a shit load but have been told if it has the wrong choke with steel will tighten the spread big time like i said pretty new to it all and just want to be heading in the right direction from the start

It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

Was over in sydney for a comp a few years ago and got it in my head I needed to change choke, it might as well of been welded in cause the fuckrr wasnt coming out. Ended up getting it out with vice grips as they were extendable. Anyway long story short, take it to a gunsmith if soaking doesn't work.

If you do get it out make sure you clean the threads 100% on barrel and choke or else it will be stuck again in not to long

If you don't have a gunsmith handy & its still being stubborn .Find a friendly engineering shop they probably have an old reamer they should be able to wind it out with.I only have invector-plus tubes ,they won't be much use to you.
Couple of drops of oil on the thread once a month isn't a silly idea .
