    Chokes

    Hi

Can anyone explain the difference and pros / cons between Briley thin wall chokes and inventory plus chokes in Browning /Miroku guns.

    Cheers

nope...but the longer and more gradual the choke is ,the better,as it is more gentle on shot...the old jug chokes worked well as had slower and smaller payloads to work with.... I like extended chokes becuase if anything goes wrong, the damage will be outside the gun and it will be possible to remove damaged choke and start again PLUS it makes me 1'' closer to the ducks.

Use Patternmaster chokes on our Benellis . They make an average shooter into world class. Outstanding tool.

I believe the advantage of the Briley thin walls is that they're lighter, making the gun less muzzle heavy in the longer barrel lengths. I don't believe they're interchangeable with the Invector Plus.

I'm going off memory here though - someone will correct me if I have it wrong.

Correct. Briley thin walls are threaded at the muzzle end of the choke while Invector plus are threaded at action end.
Briley do make invector plus chokes in multiple flavours however, so someone could have an INV+ gun and be packing Brileys.

I think you will find it's all about barrel diameters, thin walls are made to be installed in guns that don't have factory chokes,
And there's not enough wall thickness to accept the likes of invecter chokes,
A lot of factory choked guns have the last couple of inches of barrel swelled out to accept the choke. Thin walls don't require this.
Thinwalls aren't better or worse than any other choke made to the same dimensions, and long chokes or short chokes both can throw great patterns,

If you don't maintain and regularly clean the thin walls when you want to change chokes things can get very awkward as the keys bearing area is minute
