    I used both the Rabbit Board and Standard Heavys when I worked on the Awatere Rabbit Board as an 18/19 year old with a Beretta Siver Pigeon pump gun (35 quid from Alan Millar). Those CAC shotshells had a very aromatic smell when fired, and good ammo as well.

    Wonder if there is some non-corrosive primer or powder additive which mimics a whiff of potassium chlorate.

    ohhhman do I remember those rabbit board fours -spent a night up at Ruatoria sitting on front of landcruiser shooting possums in new pine block - woke up in morning with big fat lip where short stock spanish shotgun had been booting me all night - in the cold had not noticed but next morning paid the price
