gamebore 20 gauge 30 gram leads loads will handle everything from ducks to pheasants to geese or would if you could still use them over water.. i used winchester aa loads for quail in 9.s and any 7,s seemed ok out of my 870.s
i shot a lot of decoying geese with 30gram 3.s/4,s with 32 gram fiochhi 2,s as loads 4 and 5 in the mag.
3 inch 20 gauge lead is pretty much over kill
if you can get them put a box of fiocchi 32 gram loads thru then try your trap loads
turks are finicky with the light stuff
.the two geese i killed with 3 inch federal blackcloud steel 2,s [the largest available shoot size]were not instant.
one i had to chase the tho hit a a quartering angle at about 30 metres the 2nd hit right above my melon in a full frontal wing spread pose at about the same distance traveled 50 metres and dropped dead.
surprising givin the helluva thump when i tagged it.
