Thread: Got a Gun With Screw-in Chokes?

This one had sat neglected for a good few years . The new owner had another barrel for it anyway so this one was going to be shortened. I just got the offcut to see why the tube was stuck so it was never going to get used anyways .

I had another gun some time back with the same issue but soaking in a mix of diesel and brake fluid for a long time , then heat , freeze , heat , freeze , and a home-made extractor tool with big crescent spanner finally freed that off.

I really dont care what you do with your gun - but please lube the tubes , and clean the threads well at the end of your shooting season. I use a nickel based lube on mine - because thats what is available to me .
