HI i hunt peacocks often have stalked them and used a 223 but we would usually use shotties and hunt with a dog they really do stay put and wont flush until the last minuite a semi auto with 3s or 4s and quarter choke works and we dont loose any .

Minneguy peacocks tend to be something that just gets culled when there are too many or too noisy.
3 shot will do the job with a shotgun, but a rifle is just as common.

Red deer will depend if you intend to do it yourself and get what you find or go to one of the guides and potentially shoot one of the tame ones.
Ditto with Tahr, except there are no tame ones of them ;)

Just drive a combine harvester into the paddock with the grain head running the dumb shits will just run clean into it and then get spat out the other end from my experiences with them in Aussie but they do tend to try and block up the thresher though.
