    it's back.........

    18mths lata my baby is back home... and in time for the season.
    full recon and a minor repair/replacement and she is now too flash to take hunting, not bad for a gun nearly 30 years old.
    new dog this week and the paperwork arrived today as well...happy happy

    a double barrel is around $2-250 to get blued, depending on how rough the condition, a stock about $170, that's assuming you can pull you gun to bits and put it back together. both of these jobs you could do yourself, there are plenty of help on utube,but probably don't expect to be as good as the professionals first time up. start with the stock,follow the instructions there are no shortcuts.you improve with every project and it is engrossing,relaxing and concentrates the mind.

    Nice , not as wooly / wirery as some . Hard to tell really from phone but my one I had looked similar . Excuse the spelling but is it one of the ( deutch drahka lines ) hope you understand what I'm getting at ? . Just interested as will probably be my next dog 3-5 yrs on

    yes she is a drahthaar, from strong DK {gsp} motherlines. we have a few more in the process of coming over too.
