Lead fouling
I'm putting around 100-150 rounds through each weekend now, and I'm using an IM choke for all DTL shoots. There's a bit of fouling that I presume is a lead deposit building right at the start of the choke. How best to remove it? Do you scrape it out (I didn't want to risk damaging the choke) or is there a solvent to use?

It's usually plastic from the wads unless you are using fibre in which case it's lead. It can be scraped out if you wish or a stiff bronze brush or turks head will get rid of it in a few passes without removing the chokes.

Easiest way- stand the barrels upside down in a bucket and spray down the bores liberally with CRC or WD40. Leave overnight and a patch should take the whole lot out.

WD40 worked for me when nothing else would!

likely plastic fouling we had a talk one day from a national trap shooter he used petrol and a bronze brush but I bet wd40 would do same

Turps is good for plastic as well
