    Maxus 2?

Anyone seen one of these in NZ? in the market for new semi, was having a google looking at the maxus and all the reviews seem to be for the newly released maxus 2.
Cant see any nz retailers mentioning it on their sites, i dont wana by a maxus one if the maxus 2 is just about to drop.

Original Maxus is a great gun, don't overlook it, especially if you can get it at a good price.

Yea i dont think much has changed mostly aesthetic stuff , they have done away with the mag clasp thing and put a new charge handle on it. Might be able to get a deal on a old one.

The reason they switched to a magazine cap on the new model is so that you can extend the magazine. Not much use in NZ. It's also supposed to be a slimmer gun, and then there's the oversize bolt handle. The original is chunky, but it handles well.

Brought a mossy oak maxus from hunting and fishing for $1960. Worked well on the weekend, smashed through about 200 shells shooting parrys, no malfunctions, auto load function is cool.
Dont realy like the fore end, feels a bit flimsy and rattles.
    Otherwise happy.

I'm surprised. If there's one word I would use to describe the Maxus, it's solid!
