I actually like heavy in a firearm. Had a Gun City 22" with the" interchoke" system. I don't duck shoot. Was brilliant for me. The only reason I sold it, was I needed the$$$.

heavy = good unless you going walkies...... I actually ADDED 11oz of lead shot into the buttstock of the H&R pump....the new owner has left it there too...sure soaks up any recoil very well, and being close to shoulder it doesnt effect the swing.

When I was younger, my everything centrefire was a 8x57 Portugese Mauser. They were refurbished 6.5. They were like new. I did put a recoil pad on it, but kept it fully wooded, and used open sights. They didn't have all the synthetic stuff those days. I remember a fella selling me life insurance. I was 15 stone. He said I would need a medical. I said I was hitting the hills with a pack, and fully wooded Mauser that :weekend, and, if he cared to join me, we'd see who needed a medical when we got back.
