When I started trap shooting in the early 70's the old boys were useing 36grm loads in there light English sxs,
Now the Olympic shooters shoot 24grm loads and with better results.
Big isn't always better
for sure...but if youve ever shot rabbits for a living, you will KNOW that the above load kills far and away better than anything else even close in price....yip a good mate shot hundreds of bunnies with 7.5 target loads...but his ranges were kept much shorter than what I could safely manage.
MOST people using a beat up old single shot .12ga arent going to be going through a case of ammunition a day/night its a few well placed shots and the meat bag is full.... reloading steel for our young fella showed me how good a light load can be.... but its still not quite as good as a normal load, close but not quite the same.
MY BAD saw origonal photo and ASSUMED 12GA...... definately agree oz or less is way to go in .20ga.
