Just saw a Youtube video with my old mate Larry Potterfield, saw him refinishing a pitted shotgun barrel with a series of hones. Does anyone offer this service in NZ?

i got my uncles old shotty reblued after i sanded it back, i used emery cloth sandpaper, worked bloody well.
Sorry I should have elaborated He was resurfacing the inside of the bore with a drill mounted hone. I have a small amount of pittng in a gun thats getting a makeover, any ideas?
how bad?
i buffed one that was a little rough internaly with a 12g cleaning rod and rolled up some cloth arround the patch till it was tight in the barrel. i then used some lapping compound and stuck the rod into a battery drill.
working it back and forth for a while then clean and inspect, worked a treat.

a few small pock marks maybe just 20mm past the chamber in the top barrel. I am sure it wouldn't be hard to fix as the rest of the bore looks good to the naked eye. It's an old miroku from the '60s I'm giving a birthday
