they have a good name...made by the big green when they still made good guns....any gunsmith worth his weight in goat shit can either ream it out to be more open or cut a couple of inches off and thread for aftermarket chokes...
you have a 3rd option
use lighter loads in shot size #3-4 NO BIGGER THAN #3 you can get good 30-32 grm steel loads that work well,thats what I use in the super tight barrel on the bakail U/O theory on lighter and smaller is the pellets dont bridge/jam together/bump shoulders trying to squeaze out the tight bit at the end.
look around for a 2nd barrel,ring gunsmiths and shops....doesnt matter what condition its in,even if you got a 20" no choked barrel it gives you options and ability to leave origonal as it is.
