    s x s query

I have a russian sxs, that when i open it, it doesnt open fully. I need to put a ( little ) bit of force on barrels to fully open it and remove / insert rounds. Is there an easy fix ? or do i need to take to a gunsmith ? Only a few mm short of opening fully. Appreciate any advise.

designed this way...stops rounds falling out when carried open. you will get used to it and work out technique.
I have two of them in my cabinet...diferent actions, one of them has small lever inside forend that changes it from extract to eject...the other is pure extract...well extract isnt correct term...it presents cases to be removed is more correct.

cheers, at least i didnt waste money finding this out. Sort of need 3 hands to reload. I have been tucking stock under my arm while i put pressure on barrels, and unload / load. Feedback appreciated.

you third fella I know in same boat......luckily the stocks are pretty much straight so swapping sides no issue.
have a look and see if wee lever under stock...the model with it has fancy lock....so block end has cut out and barrels have sticky out bit...the other model both faces are flat.

say what ypu will about baikals but once running
you can shoot the shit out of them and then beat a grizzly to death with it and shoot some more
rail hail snow ice or anything else.
my aya sxs is the same it doesnt pop right open without some force applied to the top about down where a bank robber would saw the barrells off.
being a lefty i too tuck in under my left armpit apply my hand about 12 inches down from the chamber pull down pluck out with thumb and fore finger and drop in the two shells nestled between pinky and next finger
