Try being a right hand shot with a left master eye.
I used to be a fair shot on the clays but now not so much. older and probably some eyesight issues. really need to relearn it properly as I always seemed to get away with using the force.
BTW yes if the gun doesn't fit you are wasting your time.
There are a bunch of guns out there that have adjustable cheek pieces fitted.
You could make your own pattern board and adjust the cheek piece to suit where you want the lead to end up.
Once you have that sorted hide or throw the tools away that you need to adjust the stock so you don't fiddle with it on an off day.
I was actually under the impression a lot of shotguns nowadays have bugger all cast in them. pretty easy to check at the store.
