Lever to lock it open, button to close the bolt, can be quite a hard push on the button on mine to get it to release properly

check the cap on end of mag is done up tightly... or loosen it and give barrel a wiggle to ensure its seated back into action properly then redo cap up tight....seen same issue with a pump...might be something????

Sounds the same as a Berreta 3901 guys.
Pull the slide back, until it locks, click that little lever that no man apparently knows about, (Marked G on the tech diagrams) , then button the slide forward and then pull aft, round ejects, then repeat.
    Hope this helps.

grab stoeger in one hand escort in the other travel to Rakaia gorge bridge.
walk to viewing platform and in a windmill type motion cast first escort then stoeger to the east.

return to a real gunshop and purchase a Remington 870 in either wingmaster or pre patent expiry express model.
then enjoy a life of no jams no light load sencitivity.
    here endeth rhe lesson

should you wish to play helicopters with your wee shotty ,im quite happy to take a front row seat .the moot point is -does the rakaia river presently have enought water to buffer the impact of your rotund carcasse hitting it a 20kph
.furthermore im sure the ashburton council upon hearing of your superman efforts could possibly send you something unsavoury for deliberate pollution of major waterways.

Ps hows ya bum for fleas??
