    Winchester 101 UO

I've been offered one as a sporting clay gun. Interchoke, 28" barrels.

Not yet seen it, but supposedly very good nick for $1,500.

    Anyone got opinions of them?

Well-made but a bit muzzle heavy because of the interchokes. I have used a 101 Pigeon grade (not interchoke) for many years with good results and no mechanical issues.

Havnt been made since the mid eighties so no spare parts.
You will find a 30inch miroku in good nick for the same money.
    Far better value

The 70s/80s versions were solid guns built by Nikko. There's not a lot to break on them so don't let that put you off, capable gun smiths will be able to whip up new firing pins if ever needed.
Having said all that, it'd need to be pretty stunning to be worth $1500 private sale (gun shops would be asking $2000-2200 for a gun that was worth $1500 private sale). For $1899 you could have a brand new Miroku mk70 Sporter from Reloaders.

I've seen them break an ejector, not so easy to "whip up"
My point about the mirokus exactly

Hey gundoc. I know this isn't the right thread but I'm new to the site and wasn't quite sure how to reach you. I recently received a bsa sportsman five that's missing the firing pin. Any chance you could send me a pattern for it?
